I can't believe this place exists here in New Mexico!! If you have half a day...you *have* to go. This is the most amazing slot canyon, and you can drive up into some of the trails! Message me if you do go, though...accurate directions are hard to come by!
From hiking deep red arches, and rock climbing sharp cliffs, to crawling the numerous UTV trails in a wicked cool six-seater, Moab is definitely one of our favorites!
Waterfalls for days!! This trail has it all, and it's only a short drive from Albuquerque. Over 8 waterfalls on a single trail, wildflower fields, and the quiet only a long hike can give! A must.
I'm in love. With a place. No, a feeling...an energy. You can wander a million different places and see something breathtaking around every corner. There's something magical about Sedona. I find myself aching to be back more than I care to admit. It may be my new favorite place, and definitely has a piece of my heart.
Sand as fine as the white beaches of Florida...in the middle of the desert! Wander into the middle of it all, and it'll go as far as the eye can see. Grab a sled, and watch the fun skyrocket!
A hidden trail that takes you to a quiet cliff overlooking Black's Beach, a 360 degree view of everything Southern California has to offer. Kayaking the ocean and exploring Little Italy by way of electric scooter. An awesome adventure indeed.
A whirlwind trip, full of all the things you wouldn't think of when planning a trip to Vegas! A hike to watch the sunset over the Vegas city lights. A picnic atop a fallen tree high above a ravine. Amazing food, and a short trip to the strip...take me back!
Silver City is like a gateway to the Gila! The town is quaint, full of the friendliest people, and just on the outskirts there are miles of mountainside waiting to be explored!
The hike to Lake Williams is absolutely stunning. Only two miles up and two miles back, and it makes for a perfect hike for just about anybody. AND it's nestled amongst Taos' ski valley...a place that's a must for anyone looking to explore New Mexico!
A hike like no other. Simply put, this trail is magical. Walking a catwalk high above the water-cut canyon can't be described, it has to be experienced! If you're looking for a unique trail, do this one first. I can't praise it enough!
I never knew such a cool place existed, and only an hour and a half away from Albuquerque! Such a great adventure when you're on a time crunch. We went after half-day Wednesday and didn't feel rushed at all. Add in learning about the history of the ruins...mid-week gold!
A mind blowing experience. Learning to let go. This festival is the epitome of adventure, and I'm so dang lucky the stars aligned and led me here.
Heaven on earth. There's no other way to describe this place. There' hiking and kayaking and paddlle boarding and everything in between. We rented a small cabin and had the time of our lives.
This trail is just outside of the main Bandelier location, which makes it far less busy...almost a hidden gem amongst the giants. The loop is easy, and the history is rich. Do not leave this one off your list!
This place is amazing. It's such a stark contrast to the forresty mountains just a bit further north, and it's only 45 minutes from Albuquerque. We've done it twice now, and twice it's taken my breath away. So many nooks and crevices to explore. We'll definitely be back.
This trail is so peaceful! The Jemez is famous for its beauty, and the falls are no different. The short, moderate trail takes you straight to a mighty waterfall, where you can hike up to the quiet stream, or down to the rough waters.
River kayaking is my absolute favorite. And with the Rio Grande slicing through the center of Albuquerque, it's no surprise I've kayaked a stretch of it muliple times! So. Much. Wildlife. I've even done it at sunset, and that, my friends, is something I hope each one of you can expereince!
Other worldly. There's no other way to describe this unique place. It feels as if you've been transplanted onto another planet. We hiked for hours, but it felt like nothing. If you have an opportunity to see this amzaing place...take it!
Such a great mountain for any beginner! Ski Santa Fe is a short trip from Albuquerque and is easily accessible. If you're looking for a quick snowboarding getaway, Ski Santa Fe is the perfect place to do it!
Favorite Local Hike. Period. No question about it. Embudito has a little bit of something for *everyone*. The terrain is diverse, the hike can be as long or as short as you'd like it, and the nature surrounding you is grand. If I could only pick one hike to take someone on, this would be it!
For those hikers looking for a challenge, this one is for you. Multiple switchbacks and harsh terrain...you'll need to be well prepared for this one. But the payoff....oh man is it worth it. I've never felt so accomplished than I did after this hike. Let's get it done together!
This is such a neat place to do some dispersed camping! My brother showed us this particular spot....it's near Quemado Lake and literally at the base of a mountain with a lookout tower. It's like a hidden treasure, and we're definitely excited to get back!
In the beginning...I couldn't have picked a better adventure to bring the Stockton Six to life. Arizona owns a beauty that can't be found anywhere else. We barely made a dent in what AZ has to offer, but we're thrilled to share it all with you!
If you're looking for some hot springs in New Mexico, Manby is a great place to start! The view of the gorge greets you on the hike down to the river, and the springs are soothing to sit in! Don't forget to check out Taos too!
Out of all of the hikes we've done, this one definitely feels like the most secret! If you want to hike near water, the Slot Canyon has got you covered. River crossings, waterfalls, and small swimming pools...the water aspect here is legit!
This place is magical. Peaks in every direction you look...and no matter where you go, the beauty just follows. There's hiking and paddle boarding (and maybe just a little bit of tatoo-ing) on this adventure...check it out!
This trail is extremely underutilized! If I could shout to the mountains and tell everybody about it, I would....or I guess with this post I'm trying! Check this one out...at sunset. It'll take your breath away!
If you're looking for a quiet lake to kayak in peace, Quemado Lake is the place to do it! It's great for beginners who are trying to learn as well.
Lake Maloya is such a gem of a place, and it's snuck itself in right at the border. In fact, a tiny sliver of the lake is actually in Colorado! There's so much to do here, fish, kayak, paddle board, and the lake is big enough to explore but small enough to not get lost!
Solitude. Peace. I *love* this trail for all of these reasons...especially if the air is heavy with rain or fog. You better bet if I see the weather making a play for a dreary day that I'm packing up and heading straight for this trail!
This trip had me absolutely speechless. Camping next to a stream...hiking the steep rock to get to Cabresto Lake, kayak slung on one shoulder...skimming the open waters of Eagle's Nest. The terrain here is diverse, and definitely worth a few days of exploring!
From Moab to Lake Powell, Zion, Yosemite and more...this trip was the trip of a lifetime. Almost 2,000 miles traveled over 14 days, and a flight back on my 38th birthday. This was awesome!
This little trip was one for the ages. If you're looking for a quick weekend getaway that's peaceful, relaxing, and rejuvenating, look no further.
